MICHAEL KAPLINSKY, PH.D. – CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND CO-FOUNDER
Dr. Michael Kaplinsky has served as Chief Executive Officer of Arecont Vision since he co-founded the Company in April 2003. Prior to co-founding the Company, Dr. Kaplinsky worked as Manager of the Systems on a Chip (“SOC”) division of Micron Technology, Inc. He joined Micron Technology, Inc. through its acquisition of a CMOS image sensor manufacturer, Photobit Corporation, where Dr. Kaplinsky served as SOC Business Unit Manager. Prior to Photobit, Dr. Kaplinsky was a Research Engineer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

DR. VLADIMIR BEREZIN – PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER
Dr.Vladimir Berezin has served as President of Arecont Vision since he co-founded the Company in April 2003. Prior to co-founding the Company, Dr. Berezin worked as Manager of the Pixel Technology division of Micron Technology, Inc. He joined Micron Technology, Inc. through its acquisition of a CMOS image sensor manufacturer, Photobit Corporation, where Dr. Berezin served as Manager of Sensor Characterization. Additionally, Dr. Berezin was employed as the Director of the Ista Group of Companies as well as the CCD Lab Director of Electron, a major Russian research center. He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from St. Petersburg State University of Communications, Ph.D. in Microelectronics from Moscow State Institute of Radio-Engineering Electronic and Automation and Post Doctorate degree in Engineering Science from the Moscow Institute of Applied Physics.

SCOTT SCHAFER – EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES & MARKETING
Scott Schafer has served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing since March, 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Schafer held the posts of Senior Vice President of The Americas, and Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and North American Sales during his 5 years at Pelco/Schneider Electric. His experience also includes Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, the leader in enterprise software for the automotive industry. He served in many management roles at NCR Corporation during his 19 years, including the VP and General Manager of global networking and high availability services, Vice President of Product Marketing for the Computer Systems Division, and Vice President of major accounts for NCR’s USA reseller division. Scott Schafer has a B.S. in Finance from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Capital University.

RAUL CALDERON – SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS, ENGINEERING & PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President of the company responsible for Operations, Engineering and Product Management transitioned in January of 2012 from his previous position as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. He joined Arecont Vision in 2007 as Vice President of Strategic Relations. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Calderon served as the National Product Development and Marketing Manager for Sanyo Fisher Company’s North American security division. Additionally, he worked as the Director of Worldwide Product management for Ultrak, Inc., now a Honeywell company. He also gained experience as the National Sales Manager for 2 technology startups, GPS Standard and DigiSpec Corporation. Mr. Calderon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

MICHAEL KORKIN, PH.D. – VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING
Dr. Michael Korkin has served as Director of Engineering of Arecont Vision since November 2005, and as Vice President of Engineering since September 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Korkin was the founder and Technical Lead at Genobyte Inc., a developer of a research supercomputer for artificial brain modeling for ATR / JKTC (Japan Key Technology Center). For developing the supercomputer Genobyte was listed in 2001 in Science and Technology section of Guinness World Records. Earlier, he was employed as Senior Hardware Engineer at Fischer Imaging Corporation, and prior to that as Senior Researcher at Imaging Research Center. Dr. Korkin received his M.Sc. in Computer Systems from MIIT and PhD. in Digital Imaging Systems from MPI, which are both in Moscow, Russia.

PETER MC KEE  – VICE PRESIDENT EMEA SALES
Peter McKee is responsible for Arecont Vision’s Europe-Middle East-Africa distributor and systems integrator business, including management of the sales team. Peter also takes personal responsibility for strategic accounts in the region, building on the company’s top level relationships at key distributors, systems integrators and technology partners. He is fluent in German in addition to his native English. Peter McKee joined MOBOTIX AG early in its development. He was responsible for the establishment and growth of that company’s distributor and integrator/installer partner network, the locating, hiring and training of their international sales team, as well as instigating and establishing their international partner training program. In 2008, Peter took on the position of International Marketing Director and created a new approach to the marketing of products and services to distributors, integrators and installers. He was later promoted to Head of Global Marketing. 

BECKY ZHOU – VICE PRESIDENT APAC SALES
Becky Zhou is responsible for Arecont Vision’s Asia-Pacific distributor and systems integrator business, including management of the sales team. Becky is a long-term Arecont Vision employee and an established figure in the Asia-Pacific region. She had previously served as the company’s Regional Sales Director, APAC.  Her responsibilities include Greater China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, India and Pakistan.  Becky personally nurtures and maintains major accounts, particularly the use of Arecont Vision technology in municipal surveillance and at major financial institutions.

SCOTT CLARK – VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Scott Clark is the Vice President of Operations for Arecont Vision and is responsible for purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and IT.  Mr. Clark brings 20 years plus of international technology and operations experience to the Arecont Vision team.  He lived and worked in Japan for 10 years, has run global operations for publicly traded companies including  directly managing factories in China and Singapore.  He is well versed in both in-house and outsourced operations as well as optimizing end-to-end supply chains.  Prior to joining Arecont Vision, Mr. Clark served as VP of Operations at Opnext, Inc. and as VP of Global Procurement and Operations with Allied Telesis.  Mr. Clark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland.

CAROLE DOUGAN – VICE PRESIDENT STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS
Carole Dougan is responsible for Arecont Vision’s global distributor and systems integrator business with a primary focus in the Americas. Carole was most recently responsible for the strategic direction of several national reseller partners for Pelco as their Director of Strategic Accounts. Prior to her 9 years at Pelco, Ms. Dougan spent several years in territory, national account, and engineered systems design and sales with ADT in the San Francisco Area and Securus, Inc. in Denver, Colorado.

EDMOND DERAVANESSIAN – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Edmond Deravanessian has served as CFO of Arecont Vision since October 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Deravanessian served as Chief Financial Officer of Rene Furterer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pierre Fabre Dermo-cosmetics headquartered in France. Prior to this, Mr. Deravanessian served over 4 years as Vice-President / Controller for Pacer International. Mr. Deravanessian holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance and an EA certification.
