Arecont Vision products should be sold on the Internet only by Authorized Resellers who fulfill their responsibilities to be positive channel participants and who maintain their status on Arecont’s list of Authorized Resellers by meeting certain criteria and fulfilling certain responsibilities. We believe that this is an important component of our strategy to ensure that Arecont Vision products are supported by proper product presentation and placement, advertising that best conveys to customers the value of Arecont Vision products, and strong customer service and education.
Arecont Vision has adopted a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy applicable to all authorized distributors, dealers and resellers of our products. This policy is being implemented in order for us to better compete in the marketplace. In particular, we have determined that implementation of a Minimum Advertised Price Policy is a necessary component in our strategy to avoid distribution channel conflicts and to ensure that Arecont Vision products are supported with appropriate marketing, prominent merchandising and product displays, pre-sale and post-sale customer service, education and sufficient product inventories to adequately service our markets.
Arecont Vision may engage in monitoring of advertised prices of MAP Products, either directly or via the use of third parties. This monitoring may include advertisements and website advertising as well as, but not limited to, a review of advertised prices.
Megapixel cameras are highly technical devices that require substantial product knowledge to install, support and/or repair. If you purchase an Arecont Vision product over the Internet from a reseller who is not an authorized Arecont Vision reseller, you will not be entitled to the benefit of our customer support services and the warranties that come with purchasing our products through authorized channels.
Changes to Policy:
Arecont Vision may change or cancel this policy at any time.
