Dr. Michael Kaplinsky has served as Chief Executive Officer of Arecont Vision since he co-founded the Company in April 2003. Prior to co-founding the Company, Dr. Kaplinsky worked as Manager of the Systems on a Chip (“SOC”) division of Micron Technology, Inc. He joined Micron Technology, Inc. through its acquisition of a CMOS image sensor manufacturer, Photobit Corporation, where Dr. Kaplinsky served as SOC Business Unit Manager. Prior to Photobit, Dr. Kaplinsky was a Research Engineer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Dr. Vladimir Berezin has served as President of Arecont Vision since he co-founded the Company in April 2003. Prior to co-founding the Company, Dr. Berezin worked as Manager of the Pixel Technology division of Micron Technology, Inc. He joined Micron Technology, Inc. through its acquisition of a CMOS image sensor manufacturer, Photobit Corporation, where Dr. Berezin served as Manager of Sensor Characterization. Additionally, Dr. Berezin was employed as the Director of the Ista Group of Companies as well as the CCD Lab Director of Electron, a major Russian research center. He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from St. Petersburg State University of Communications, Ph.D. in Microelectronics from Moscow State Institute of Radio-Engineering Electronic and Automation and Post Doctorate degree in Engineering Science from the Moscow Institute of Applied Physics.
Scott Schafer has served as the Executive Vice President since March, 2009. His responsibilities are global sales, marketing, service and quality. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Schafer held the post of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing during his five years at Pelco/Schneider Electric. His experience also includes Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, the leader in enterprise software for the automotive industry. During that time he was on the Board of Directors for Reynolds and Reynolds Australia. He served in many management roles at NCR Corporation during his 19 years, including the VP and General Manager of global networking and high availability services, Vice President of Product and Channel Marketing for the Computer Systems Division, and Vice President of major accounts for NCR’s USA reseller division For the past seven years, Schafer has been a member of the Board of the Directors for the Security Industry Association and serves as the Secretary of the Executive Committee and Membership Chairman. Scott Schafer has a B.S. in Finance from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Capital University.
Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President of the company responsible for Operations, Engineering and Product Management transitioned in January of 2012 from his previous position as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. He joined Arecont Vision in 2007 as Vice President of Strategic Relations. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Calderon served as the National Product Development and Marketing Manager for Sanyo Fisher Company’s North American security division. Additionally, he worked as the Director of Worldwide Product management for Ultrak, Inc., now a Honeywell company. He also gained experience as the National Sales Manager for 2 technology startups, GPS Standard and DigiSpec Corporation. Mr. Calderon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in ElectricalEngineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Jeff Whitney leads worldwide marketing for Arecont Vision, bringing over 25 years of global marketing experience at fast growing companies in video and information technology. Prior to Arecont Vision, Mr. Whitney served as Vice President of Marketing for network flash vendor Astute Networks, video surveillance platform pioneer Intransa, and encryption/key management developer MaXXan Systems. He also served as Vice President of Strategy for Fujitsu Technology Solutions and in leadership roles with NetApp and Spinnaker Networks. Mr. Whitney currently serves on the Security Industry Association (SIA) Cyber Security Advisory Board.
Brad Donaldson is the Vice President of Product Development for Arecont Vision. Mr. Donaldson provides strategic leadership for all Arecont Vision product management and development. Since joining the company, he has led the development of the MicroDome® series, the industry’s smallest and most powerful reduced-size footprint megapixel camera family which was released in 2012. Mr. Donaldson’s successes include the SurroundVideo Omni, the industry’s first completely configurable multi-sensor megapixel camera series introduced in 2014, the SurroundVideo Omni G2 released in early 2016, and several other important product line additions. Mr. Donaldson joined Arecont Vision in 2012, and in 2014 was promoted to Director of Product Management. Prior to Arecont Vision, his career took him from the United States Navy to engineering management positions within GE Security, and on to other high level project and product management roles. Mr. Donaldson holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
Igor Anisimov is the Chief Technical Officer of Arecont Vision, responsible for the ongoing leadership of the Advanced Development, Firmware Development, and Electronics Development teams. Dr. Anisimov played a key role in the company’s H.264 compression development, resulting in the 2008 introduction of the industry’s first megapixel surveillance cameras with this technology. His later work on True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology was introduced in 2012 in the company’s ground-breaking MegaDome® and MegaVideo® camera series. Dr. Anisimov’s career outside of Arecont Vision incudes serving as Firmware Engineering Manager at Intevac Corporation and prior to that as a researcher in image processing with the Vavilov State Optic Institute. He is a graduate of Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnic University with Bachelor, Masters, and PhD. degrees in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Digital Image Processing.
Edmond Deravanessian has served as CFO of Arecont Vision since October 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Deravanessian served as Chief Financial Officer of Rene Furterer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pierre Fabre Dermo-cosmetics headquartered in France. Prior to this, Mr. Deravanessian served over 4 years as Vice-President / Controller for Pacer International. Mr. Deravanessian holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance and an EA certification.
Kyle Parker is Vice President of North American Sales – West for Arecont Vision. Mr. Parker joined the company in 2013 as Regional Sales Director – North Central. After several years of sales growth while in this role, he was promoted to regional vice president in 2016. Mr. Parker manages the sales team for 24 US states and 4 Canadian provinces and 3 northern territories. Mr. Parker came to Arecont Vision after over 17 years as a manufacturer’s representative for Keith Parker and Associates, and had previous positions in the video, cyber security, and financial industries. He holds a Master’s of Science in Marketing from Northwestern University.
Chris Sessa is Vice President of North American Sales – East for Arecont Vision. Mr. Sessa joined the company in 2009 as Regional Sales Director – East, and led his team to successful growth in Arecont Vision business with end user customers, integrators, and distributors. In 2016, Mr. Sessa was promoted to Vice President of North American Sales for the eastern region of 26 US states and 6 Canadian provinces. Mr. Sessa joined Arecont Vision after earlier positions with Anixter and Mobotix AG. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Johnson & Wales University.
Sanjit Bardhan leads the Arecont Vision sales organization across the Middle East, Africa, and India. Mr. Bardhan joined Arecont Vision in 2011 as Regional Manager for the Middle East and North Africa. He successfully grew the business across the region, and in 2013 he was promoted to Director of Middle East - Africa. In 2016, Mr. Bardhan was promoted to Vice President, Middle East, Africa, and India Sales. Prior to Arecont Vision, Mr. Bardhan held successful sales assignments with Clipsal Datacomms by Schneider Electric and distributor Anixter Middle East. He holds a B.E. (Honors) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS, Pilani).
Becky Zhou is responsible for Arecont Vision’s Asia-Pacific distributor and systems integrator business, including management of the sales team. Ms. Zhou is a long-term Arecont Vision employee and an established figure in the Asia-Pacific region. She had previously served as the company’s Regional Sales Director, APAC. Her responsibilities include Greater China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, India and Pakistan. Ms. Zhou personally nurtures and maintains major accounts, particularly the use of Arecont Vision technology in municipal surveillance and at major financial institutions.
